Cyclophosphamide - is an alkylating cytostatic agent which, by chemical composition, is closest to the needle nitrogen analogues. It is believed that the mechanism of action involves the formation of transverse bonds between DNA and RNA chains as well as the inhibition of protein synthesis.
It has an alkylating action (induction of chemical processes in the cell, resulting in a disruption of the stability of DNA - the deoxyribonucleic acid contained in the cell nucleus and which carries the genetic information) a cytostatic agent (cell growth inhibition).
